Our Story
foldUP was born in Melbourne with one simple goal: to create a mat that fits seamlessly into your day-to-day life. A mat that’s portable, practical, and still gives you the cushion and support you need.
Our movement mats stand out thanks to the original design by our founder, Elle, a yoga instructor who knows firsthand the importance of a reliable mat.
As foldUP enters an exciting new chapter under new ownership, we’re bringing a fresh perspective on support, both through the same great TPE-made mats and by finding creative ways to connect with our community.
Our mission is simple: to help everyone find their fold, whatever that may look like. We’re excited to grow with you, meet you where you are on your fitness journey, and continue providing the products you love (with a few new surprises along the way!).

2022 Founded
foldUP was founded by Elle, a Melbourne-based yoga instructor whose design for the movement mat was inspired by her experience teaching yoga and her love for movement and mindful design. The foundation was built on intention, convenience, quality, and care. Values that continue to guide the brand today.
2025 New Chapter, Same Great Product
In 2025, Nick and Hali took over foldUP, driven to the brand by a shared deep love for travel and movement.
Hali is a certified yoga instructor with a strong foundation in wellbeing, yoga, and Pilates, and a background in the non-profit space where she has worked on initiatives centred around community and impact.
Nick comes from a background in law, bringing a considered, detail-driven approach to the next chapter of foldUP.
Together, they bring a fresh perspective to a much-loved product, grounded in movement, guided by wellbeing, and shaped by a shared commitment to sustainability and thoughtful design.
2026 & Beyond
Looking ahead, foldUP plans to expand our catalogue with small updates to the designs you love, while exploring creative ways to raise awareness and funds for causes across Australia. Stay tuned, there’s more to unfold!
